OP math is incorrect. CEO announced reduction plan length and it is not to June. If you were an actual employee, you would know the time table of this specific reduction. If you understood the sector, you would know the time table for the downturn. You have some reading ahead of you.

@ 1gor.. I see you are doing the same post in various messages over and over again.. Are you an H1-b by any chance? If so, what are your intentions here? I see you are saying "Die" at the end of some of your messages? Are you actually planning to hurt anyone or planning to commit any act of violence against US Citizens, maybe planning to target some Americans at work because you don't like what you hear on these blogs?

Just asking since I feel your messages are a very serious threats and you are targeting people that are expressing their opinions in a free country protected by law and in all honestly I am very concern by this ..

Do you know that you can loose your visa or green card because of this threat you are making to US Citizens ? I really believe I am being threat by your messages..

My friendly advise to you is to get out of this blogs and don't come back and tell your H1-B's buddy to also stay out.. Let the white boys and any other US citizen that has already lost their jobs because of you guys leak their wound and share the pain in peace among their brothers and sisters here as you guys have done enough already.. You got the job so go back to your masters and make sure you please them well..

You have been warned..

Incorrect things about OP's post:

  1. VSP acceptance rate has been ~5% in the past. While I believe it'll be higher this time, 50% is a pipe dream.

  2. Project cancellations + "efficiencies" will all take place until June. There's no safe day for anybody until around June 30th. They literally call your team into a room and tell you you're gone.

  3. You forgot ISP "acceptance" rate. 4-5% was the eligibility pool, then you remove people that started working in 2015, people who won ODI's, and people who challenge the ISP itself and win. They estimated 75% of ISP eligible people would actually be let go.

Wait... He posted 6 H1-B threads after I confronted him.

This is just looking sad.

Now he tells me to "go find your mom" in the other thread.

So. What do you say? Would it be someone in junior high? Perhaps it's lower than that.

Because there's nothing some people like more than to make people angry.

I directly confronted a kid troll, and right after that he went off and made 3, count them, THREE new threads about H1-B.

Not only are they troll-ish, they're predictable.

Why do people come here and embarrass themselves? Sure, it's anonymous but one still must feel stupid when posting stupid things, right? Intel does sell drones. Here is a web site of the leading drone manufacturing company that is owned by Intel: http://www.asctec.de/en/

BK thinks he is the new Steve jobs. Steve jobs canceled 90% of pet projects. Steve jobs also reshuffled workforce and fired most of the board directors. Steve jobs successfully turns Apple around, unfortunately, BK is no Steve jobs. He failed in everything he did in the last three years. Bk is also impetuous. Bk does not understand technology other than manufacturing.

The 12000 number is not the layoff number. Read what Intel said in its press release, it wants to reduce headcount by 12000. The layoffs need to go over 12000 so that BK can hire clowns like this to do stupid marketing stunts that sell $0 dollars in products but make BK feel like he is Mark Zuckerberg.

It would help if you state that this is all speculation or not.

Anyhow, if the numbers after all the packages and project cancellations reach 11500 or something like that (7500+4000) then Intel's not going to go after that last couple of hundred just to make it 12000 even. I heard this from a manager.

True, here is an example:

Drone Marketing Engineer.. seriously does Intel even sell drones? No, but someone needs to help BK with his Christmas wish list
