G6 to G7 will put you on the lower end of G7, probably 100-115k base, and 2-3k apb target. Promotion stock I think is SSL1 for the next grade, which is about 19k for G7.

Stop spreading false rumors and the crap! INTEL management will do/create for U all Very Fake Virtual Reality, and make U and Ur peers in Real World to be very South, just to trick U/Ur position and make/carve Ur senses to be on the "right track".

The crap ICs will be artificially politically moved to "average" marks, while very good/technical ICs will be suppressed, as better 'ey R, the more suppression will be made by crappy, delusional (on purpose) corrupt, unethical INTEL FLM and SLM (management).

Why? U all R smart, put Ur brains to work, and understand why! ;-)

I think it's a very good question. I've only been at intel for 2 years and would love to know the answer. I'm grade 6 and so far all of my focals have been "Successful" ~2% raise, and I'm like 5% under the median pay for my grade.

If anyone can shed more light on how they adjust compensation for a G6->G7 promotion it would be helpful.

"I think it's a useless question. If you work at intel, are you going to decide whether to work hard for a promotion based on the raise?"

No, but you will have at least better understanding how thing is working as promotion is something you have to plan and negotiate with your manager based on your performance and overtaken RESPONSIBILITY!!

About 10% total increase for promos, 2-3% for successful, 3-4% for exceeds.

I agree it's an irrelevant question. If you work in Intel you should or will know one day. If you don't work in Intel you don't need to know.

why do you think it is stupid question? who should he asks? He is not asking about giving real number as it differs due to geo. He is asking about the percentage. Only if you run though these grades you will know...
