Not sure how i can pay my mortgage and living expenses after being laid off in CA. And finding right job takes more than three months. I barely made the downpayment for a tiny condo and currently have my pockets empty. I will sell this condo in the worst case.

face reality, if your a foreigner - go back to your own country as you are not hireable outside of intel. those are the facts. You rode the ride like the rest of us , but now the reality is you are not American

I know it is hard. Keep your confidence and you will soon get over this bump. Infact, you will be better off and well treated at other companies. Only then you will know, Intel culture stinks, every thing there is lip service. I know people in management -all those gr 9 and above are so shallow and glib without substance - look for them in HR/TMG/Legal/Govt Affairs/ CS/ Sales are full of blow bloughs. I have seen them doing their personal stuff and running errands and mark their calendars as busy. If they dont have anything to do they keep sending memos/emails - managing by memos- some in legal and HR group are very good at that to justify their existence). All these id**ots are gr 10s and glorified paper pusher VPs. Been long here to watch this bull.
I am single with no kids, but have been thinking about folks like yourself with kids since the day I was let go. I have joked with my friends, I don't worry if I can't pay my mortgage. I'll live at the intersection of such and such. But, if you have kids you can't even make that joke. This is serious. My heart goes to you and others who will face serious hardship. What I can tell you is that start sending those resumes out, if you have not already. I am in AZ, so the job market might be different, but I've already started receiving calls. Best wishes.
