Murthy can smell BS when he sees it. BK must have interceded for Aicha for diversity reasons because her team has literally failed at 80-90% of their mission. Granted it WAS a hard mission, but that's why she's paid the big bucks. The fact she is still there and still a VP is beyond belief. If you or I ever failed that badly we'd be out the door before we knew what hit us.
Aicha Evans is SO full of bullsh** that she easily qualifies for CEO.
The trend of promoting people who led failed projects is rampant at Intel. The guy who led design team for broadwell was promoted to vp even though the project was severely delayed. Recently another guy was made a senior PE even though he led the design of Broxton project - intels big soc to win mobile - everyone knows the fate of Broxton. Now there are no diversity candidates in both these cases.
Hahaha. Would pay to see fight between Murthy and Aicha. Maybe they'll kill off each other. Aicha is nothing but the face of diversity to show off to gov't executives.

When I see some of the hundreds of "VPs" going I'll know they're serious about finding deadwood. Not until then.
Murthy is good. Intel needed him, he really said it well, talk less work more. Less PR about our strategy. Lets keep surprises, street likes them, unfortunate that people had yo be let go.
Word of advice, lots of deadwood still there, its not helpful to have them if fuelling the fire of growth, going by SSL alone is not enough....

Yes. It doesn't matter if she succeeds or fails. The Clinton administration will quietly threaten to restrict technology exports, use government regulation, cut off H1bs, etc., etc, to make sure she is the CEO and face of the company.
The next 2-3 years of layoffs will precede her rise to the top. She will be proclaimed the new savior and the bleeding will stop. She'll be on the cover of Time magazine, and the powers behind the throne will still be making the real decisions.
Your 100% on it. All the failed ones are up on the pedestal presiding over the slow demise of this company. Good ones have left or in the process of leaving.
Lot of bad chemistry between Murthy and Aicha. One of them is going out within a couple of years.
If she gets us bigger learnings, why not?
