Just wondered after the management have systematically taken away any illusion of security and dignity in working for Intel how people are prosecuting their roles? You know it's only a matter of time until you do the walk of shame

The light at the end of the tunnel has been turn off, due to budget cuts.
Apple will not buy the fab business as TSMC process is much more suitable to what they need. It will not buy the CPU/SoC business as they are doing a much better job with ARM. It may buy other parts (Communications?) if it needs an in-house cellular solution.
spent 15 years at Intel, never have I seen something so cut-throat as this lay off. Those who got VSP offers should do as other are posting and milk it...shame on Intel.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
No Indian is smiling due to high morale. They have even bigger immigration problems if their jobs are cut. It's a smile of helplessness and distress of how to find a new job in a few weeks before their visa is terminated making them illegal immigrants after that.
Maybe BK should start another useless Intel task force and have his team report back every six hours until the problem is resolved. Yuck yuck.
@buu I like option #2
Productivity has slowed. Many meetings cancelled. Projects in limbo. A lot of project knowledge and history has walked out the door. Every plan seems to be in question. Many wondering if they will be part of the next wave and starting to look at plan b. Hoping for a positive outcome, but this will take time to recover from.
It's okay they are only focused on old male engineers, those in satellite sites, the poor saps that had one bad review, those that have been in their grade too long.
So in other words, random. I feel like I've wasted 22 years of my life
Intel is a sinking ship.
HgZBhET-sku Which site?
I am seeing more mistrust and fear than I have seen in this company in the last 20 years.
Very said that the company that I have spent a good portion of my life at is doing this to its employees.
So much for Intel values...sorry to say it but I feel BK will be the downfall if this once great company.
Very Poor Management is what got us into this!
go TRUMP !!
There is paralysis throughout the company.
Everyone expects that they are - or could be - next on the chopping block.
Things are usually bureaucratic, bass-ackwards and overly complicated at Intel, but no one is doing ANYTHING presently.
Our site is being closed bext year so our Jobs can be relocated to the mothership thousands of miles away. That basically means our entire site has a year of doing the absolute minimum to get by while we search for new jobs. It baffles me how little sense this decision makes.
Morale sucks. I don't want to work, why waste my time for this company if I am gone next week/month. There is a lot of rumor about round 2. Amir kind of hinted that at the QGS too.
Morale is terrible. There is a lot of frustration about how the cuts were made. A lot of distrust.
Morale is great, I see Indians smiling all over the place.
Morale f---ing sucks. Rumors of project cuts and more firing are still going around and the culture of "there will be more, might be YOU" is really draining on everyone.
Maybe best things for Intel are (a) splitting into 2, or (2) buying out by Apple
That's a real good point. The mgmt is glowing in the success of kicking out their hard workers. Oh, yeah. Guess what. They probably had hire pay because they contributed more to the success of the company. Now since BK has squandered the Intel technological leads, we are the people that suffer the consequences. It is only a matter of time when the new dumbed down workforce will also be dismantled.
