Yes the pretense of security was created by Intel propaganda to try to increase productivity by making people feel that they were part of a "family at Intel". If you have any notion of being a part of a family now at Intel then I can say for certain you are a sociopath.
There were none to begin with. All that was done was just doing away with the pretense of security.
