Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

If ODI is pending long before layoff announcement and one gets ISP, isn't it better to have filed with EEOC in the first place?

EEOC offers some sort of protection from being terminated in the middle of investigation. Did Intel HR fall to this level??

Highly doubt intel is scared of EEOC. Layoffs are commonplace, Army of legal teams that know the laws through and through, consulting firms that define a strategy.

EEOC mentioned that if we accept the severance, they cannot do anything. So it is important for ppl currently employed at Intel to complain to EEOC rather than go thorough ODI.

yes, forget trying to get any appeals resolved with Intel directly...go to the EEOC, the more claims the EEOC receives the better. They will investigate Intel on your behalf. Intel is scared to death of EEOC claims because they become public record. Anything resolved directly with Intel stays within Intel and remains "hush hush", so they will continue to abuse their power with ees, the only way to stop their poor practices is for them to get their hand slapped by the government imho...
