I have been hoping for this useless project manager to be let go. Sure enough they offered him VSP (really should've given him ISP for doing absolutely nothing useful).
Guy has been working at Intel, I'm guessing >10 years. Every I time I ask him a question, he never knows the answer and never bothered to follow up even after telling me he would.
There are a few left who are busy cranking out documents no one reads. The company will do well without these dead branches.
I was beginning to wonder if Intel was running a social engineering program.
AMEN TO THIS COMMENT!! "Intel needs to clean house in this area. Most of the managers don't know what they are doing and have their heads up their asses."
I care because I still see useless managers around. Maybe they sacrificed one of their senior report to save themselves.
Yes. I know of a few personally.
No, but I hear there has been a decision to add yet another layer of management in between the guys doing the work and the CEO. In my org, we've done that already, and have introduced 2 additional layers in the past few years, so we are way ahead of time and will get rewarded for being proactive about it.
Why do you care? Next thing you may ask whether CEO is getting ISP? The question remains, "Why do you care?" Spreading non-sense does not fetch you value!
know of two GR11 second level managers one for sure got ISP'd another has suspiciously quick retirement and was gone by last Friday
Richard Taylor assured us that ISPs hit at all levels of the org chart.
One in server
One in IOTG named Bill

Yes, I know personally of two managers who got ISP'd (one in TMG, one in CCG)
