This week, Intel revealed that it won't release its next-generation Atom chip for mobile devices, which was code-named "Broxton." Competitors like Qualcomm and ARM have all pushed Intel out of the growing mobile market, and the chip titan just can't compete.

Yep. The company will continue to downsize in order to compete in smaller markets. The days of Intel Inside are gone thanks to BK.
Intel is too ingrained in their internal processes.
Because they hire mass amounts of RCGs and promote from within, they cannot and never will know anything but the same tired antiquated processes and ideals their predecessors pass on.
