Some of us have had to live through numerous lay offs in this type of job through the years. We didn't piss our money away. We had to do what we could to survive between the lay offs! Shame on you for saying this about people you know nothing about!! You are a real piece of work!

Really? How awful to post something like this. The best made plans can be laid waste depending on the curveballs life tosses at you. Medical disasters, we have good insurance but with Cancer treatments and lost time at work you can end up way out of pocket, preemie babies also. Many things can happen to set back even the most frugal people. You should be ashamed of yourself saying things like that about anyone. And yes I still have a job, and a plan B you are behaving like a pontificating pompous a--hole.

I didn't blow all my money on garbage. I paid off my mortgage early (7 yrs), and saved enough to retire early. Just stuck around for a package once I hit the Rule of 55 (Rule of 75 still out a ways and not sticking around for it). The timing is perfect.
