Anybody knows? There is no reason to keep them for cost reduction, I think.

I think Infineon was doing and selling modems before being acquired by Intel. With customers like nokia, samsung, apple ... in the good old days
Normally i refrain from posting. I would say, give it a try and close and lets see what happens... My guess would be same sorry state as
7160, initial days of 7360, and 6360
With 1 guy in austria flying to duisberg to debug a problem with his excel spread sheet and more request for headcount from project manager.with none of the engineers having a holistic and complete knowledge of codingmodem algorithm, architecture, system, debugging, hardware, lauterbach and getting chipset out of the door
What about the Maker team ? The maker team is also there and as far I know they are not profitable.
Probably just onesies and twosies laid off over time. These mgrs will also need to show notches on their six shooters. Not much impact.
San Diego is the main fw and development site in mobile for modems. All the top management are here.
They are mostly modem people, so they are safe.
