Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Any word on what's happening to the Austin site?

Does anyone know of how many people or what will become of the Austin site now? Since Broxton is cancelled what's net?

Please oh please if there is a God walk out RKK. If RKK goes his hemorrhoids LPY and RRC have to follow. I sit and wait as I watch from my golden throne. Can't touch this... Na Nana na Nana na!

The site has been hit from ISP/VSPs in proportion to its size, just like any other Intel site. We have seen many of our colleagues walked out, the majority of them over 45-50. Both the Atom core team and mobile SoC teams were impacted.

With many mobile projects canceled, the mobile SoC teams are left without a project to work on. There certainly is a lot of uncertainty. Rumor has it that nearby Apple and Samsung sites have been receiving hundreds of resumes from Intel folks who survived last week.
