Something is seriously wrong with this company. It's incredible that they keep surviving, some might even say thriving. They have so much money it's ridiculous. Their profit margins are shrinking but realistically, how long will it take before they fully die? Intel could go on maintaing for at least another 20 or 30 years.
Maybe the next criteria should be drug tests. Bet they really clean house then.
This Fab was once part of the grandiose plan to keep Moore's Law alive (sadly, may it rest in peace) for production of advanced tick-tock technologies. PTD failed to succeed in keeping the cadence even with multi-billion dollar support. The program was grossly mismanaged by arrogance and petty bureacracy.

Who cares
Where will the FPGAs be manufactured? Also, what about the foundry business? Weren't we planning on mass producing processors for other manufacturers?
