If Trump becomes president, he is not going to help the layoff situation. He will, in fact, be easy to convince how there is a shortage of STEM work force in america. The man brought in immigrants himself for seasonal Mar-a-lago jobs. Trump doesnt want jobs moving to foreign countries, but lay offs are integral part of free market enterprise and he understands that. Discuss.

Trump's "position" (at any given moment) is one thing. But his actual behavior over the years is another - a far less "American workers first" other. But, by all means, assume he's not just saying whatever he thinks it'll take to "close the deal." Because he knows - even if you don't - that this is an election, not a legally binding contract. His modus operandi is there for you to see and it's not his fault if you choose to not see it.
He knows enough about business to know that government doesn't belong there. No president can or should intervene in business restructuring save for the current laws on the books regarding anti-trust.
His position is very clear.
