I heard HR

Good question. I've heard there are lists of names and they just follow it Mgr's have put together, and then I've heard HR Heads make total decisions based on yrs in company/salary/busi. area/etc. Again, I agree no one likes doing the chopping. I to would have a difficult time with it. Lots of good people, knowledge people put down the road. By mid-year, it wouldn't surprise me that most these companies will reduce personnel to 80-85%.
But you don't really think it is the HR personnel that is making the decision to let you go, they are simply following the orders and doing the job they were hired to do, just like the rest of us.
I have been and am close to people from the personnel department in many areas and releasing people is the worst part of the job, they would love never to have to do it.
I would say this is probably true. I m a recent lay off recipient of Paal K, after almost a month I have still not received my exit packet of time sensitive material. Called HR to make them aware, this person didn't seem like in a rosy mood as I remembered. Seemed extremely nervous and pushed me off quickly to Houston ASKHR. I hung up smiling with a good feeling that the ones that drop the axe are feeling the axe themselves. That's awesome...
Not possible, i have read on here lots of times that HR does not get touched, and everyone on here knows everything 100%
