I would lay myself off if I was l leading Target. Leadership created worthless roles in TTS. What to do?

Every time we have some kind of all HQ meeting (previously theQ or whatever it was, now the spring meeting)- and we are told how everything is so great- layoffs always follow.

It is inevitable that we will see more layoffs. Amazon just ate Target, Walmart and every other retailers lunch last quarter. There is a reason Target will no longer be reporting digital sales separately, the 30% increases are over, unless you are Amazon. Fewer sales equals less need for HQ support. That simple.

What I do know is that BTS just got underway today. Once leadership sees how disengaged the team is they will go balistic. They dont value your opinion, they are expecting conformity to the new values wrapped in colorful words. If you don't coform you will be out. That may be through layoffs of whole teams and they start hiring from scratch.
