I am a manager myself but I have seen way too many times that most of senior managers only care about how to expand their scope so they become VP faster. So who has time to care for intel folks. BK and Murthy can decide whatever strategy they want, there is no one to implement their agenda.

I don't find this to be true at all. I think the senior managers at the fabs I've work at are excellent. It's the middle managers who are stabbing each other (and their ICs) in the back. Also true for a lot of the GLs. Some are good, but I'd say most are looking out for themselves.
I'm a TD tech and sometimes the big boss comes in and hasn't a clue what's going on. It just seems there is a huge disconnected between floor operations and upper management.
