I know how you feel. It seems very unfair how we have been treated. I have a family to support. I’ve had my own dark thoughts. This may or may not work for you, but I called the EAP (800-568-9276). It didn’t solve all my problems but at least I see a little light at the end of the tunnel. I also realized I’m not going to let Intel win.

Not worth it. Life is good outside Intel. You just have to decompress and find it. You will be fine.

I was laid off in 2009 from the Ocotillo campus. I was a manufacturing tech. At the time, it was devestating, but, in the long run has been one of the best things that ever happened to me. Trust me, there is life after Intel! Although, I still become enraged every time I think about it due to the fact that I gave my heart and soul for 12 years and think of some of the lazy, scheming dirt bags that managed to keep their jobs! I am a firm believer that there is a reason for eveything. Trust me, it doesn't feel like it right now, but, eventually you will be thanking Intel for doing you a HUGE FAVOR! You will find that your quality of life will improve. CONGRATULATIONS and welcome to life after Intel!
Considering suicide over INTEL?? They aren't worth you taking your life. Sure, it's depressing, I get it. However, I'm a firm believer things happen for a reason AND that there's something better out there if you just go for it. Too often people miss out on something better because they won't make the move themselves (don't like change so stick with the known, even if it sucks). Sometimes a person needs a slight push to make a change for the better, other times it's a kick in the assto make that change (like what's going on now).
Whether it's the slight push or the kick in the assmake the most of it! Your chance is there to get out and make a much better life for you. AND with less stress and an end to the BS that will continue for those remaining.
Embrace this opportunity with the best smile you can muster up an go for it. Life WILL change for you and for the better. Intel has such a hold on people's minds... take it back and move on.

It's not worth it...there are any number of ways to help yourself and your family.
There are way too many fine print clauses on policies with regard to certain incidents, so don't risk your loved ones future.

Typically insurance companies have a grace period like 2 years from the last change in insurance policy to pay out on suicides. If you change your beneficiaries, you'll have to wait 2 years before jumping off that bridge.

If your insurance is Metlife or Minnesota life don't expect them to pay out on any claims.

Insurance doesn't pay out on suicides. Besides, life beyond Intel can be great in so many ways.
Hope you are kidding or just a troll and if not come on, my friend. Why dont you think you cant find a job somewhere else? You be suprised whats out there once you get over Intel and see all the oppurtunities. I was down last year when i was laid off but now doing way better than Intel. Get over it and enjoy what you have, friends and familly. Cheer up dude
Agree! Don't do it! Definitely not worth it and don't think life insurance covers that incident.

I know this is not an answer to your question but its just not worth it for a job. There is always a way. And suicide is never the solution.
