I heard CWA union boss KPurse message.

My union buddy, who is on strike let me listen to the message from the angry CWA boss KPurse........ Wow! sounded like he was trying to motivate a losing JV football team in the locker room at halftime. It was pretty funny.

Union employees are losing their health benefits starting tomorrow......... are the Union Leadership losing theirs? No they are not. Thanks to you paying your dues and thanks to the union for managing your pensions.

Union Leadership is making $250k+ per year, plus bonuses while the strike continues. Are union employees? No they are not. Thanks to the union employees paying their dues and of course. letting the union manage their pensions.

Many of you think that the "Company" manages your pensions.... you couldn't be more wrong. Verify this yourself by checking all of your pension literature, pamphlets and even the website. You will notice that there has been an appointed manager, from the union, who oversees your pension.

I read again today, how another pension was being cut. I think it was UPS. Benefits cut, most likely because the funds were "appropriated" by Union Leadership and accounted as necessary expenses. I am guessing some of those funds went to pay for a Hillary or Bernie speech. Because you know Hillary and Bernie want to get paid. Some Solidarity huh?

Demand that your pension funds get audited and have them show every line item expense - I bet you will be stunned.

Has any of the Union Leadership been out there picketing with the union employees? I am sure they have driven up and shaken a couple of hands, telling you your doing a "hell-uv-a" job. Then they get back in they car and go to lunch downtown somewhere. But no they don't picket. They are judging the mood of the strike to make sure the dues get paid, and in turn making sure they get paid.

They tell you to damage company property to make it difficult for the company to conduct business. This puts your job at risk not theirs. At some point a Go-Pro camera will catch a few union employees in the act. Oh well, at least Leadership doesn't lose their job.

I always wondered why the emergency strike funds get used up so fast. I wonder if they really ever existed. Or was it motivation. Hmmm.

So let me finish the JV halftime speech by saying "Go Team Go!" I wont curse though.

--not crying. looking for an explanation and you certainly didn't provide one and neither has anyone else. So, i am thinking that it's true...you care about a contract and the union, but not about your job or the company you work for. so you will continue to badmouth verizon and the 100k employees who are not in the union..I still want to know why you would want to come back.

My uncle's neighbor's garbage man told me he picks up the OP's trash and his can is usually full of sh!t. Just like this post.

Again, you think the Company manages your pension. The Company contributes to your pension, They do not manage it. There is an appointed trustee from the union that manages it....... go look at your literature.

i am trying to figure out why these union employees would even want to go back to work at verizon. They obviously hate the company and employees who are not in the union. they have no pride in anything but the union, so why go back? seems to me that they don't care about the work or the company, they care about a contract. what ever happened to work ethic? what ever happened to taking in pride in what you do? With all the negativity, disgusting language, having hotels 'force scabs' to leave, etc....why bother going back? you don't like the company or the more than 100,000 people who work there who are not in the union, so why not find a place where everyone is union and it is all unicorns and rainbows because it is not going to be unicorns and rainbows if you go back.

OP you are so wrong. A pension is a trust fund that is provided by company. The union has nothing to do with it. Secondly I have personally picketed with 1101 eboard members and it's not there job to stand on picket lines. They have more important issues to deal with. I don't approve of cursing to get your point across. It makes us look like thugs when in reality the majority are not.
