Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

IoT Wind River

WRS is supposed to integrate fully into Intel by the end of the year.

We are nervous at Alsmeda but one of our VPs, Mychal McCabe has been telling us that Intel is clueless when it comes to IoT, so we have nothing to worry about and will likely all move up pretty quickly in the ranks.

What's the view of IoT in Santa Clara?

Take a look at all of the broken promises we were told ever since BK was immaculated.

So IoT for Intel is just keeping the edge on server market and the rest is fat?

Several industry analysts have said the big money in IOT is in the cloud data processing...not the devices themselves...

IoT, Intel and making money? Could not even do anything in mobile. Not sure why does intel stick to this buzzword. Only reason could be that they want to have some growth story to the market. There are companies that stand to benefit include google, apple, nvidia, samsung and such companies, which have some devices out in the market like nest, watch, car stuff etc..

So to answer, I believe intel will stand to be clueless about IoT forever and will continue to analyze why they are not "WINNING THE IOT MARKET SEGMENT" forever and ever with some new "MANAGEMENT TEAM" assigned. Not sure how that helps WRS from what ur VP says.
