@lmo: I suspect that the VSP package is adjusted so that a certain target of volunteers is reached; add to this, that laws per country may differ, so I would not expect the VSP package to be the same for all countries, anyways.

Let us not get into the whole "1month BDC pay is 1 week of US pay" Going by that logic, 1 month of rent for a 2 bed 2 bath place is less than 1 week's rent for a similar sized place in USA. It is all adjusted for cost of living at the particular place. The point is BDC gets 4months++ of pay while in USA we are left with less than 8 weeks of pay. For ISP, the pay is only till end of May. There was also this rumour that by law, there wouldnt be an ISP in India. Stop the whole victim-complex and face it that we all have it just as bad.

VSP in India will start on Monday 02-May-2016. 4 months pay + 1 month for every year. Leave encashment + work until 24-Jun-2016.
This is for VSP only. I don't know about ISP.
No VSPs planned, only ISPs due to project cancellations. Intel can get any Engineer it wants in Bangalore.
In the USA, VSP offer emails were first and ISP walk outs followed. Time will tell.
