Why is no one posting about Nokia layoffs? There is a lot of talk on Intel layoffs...

Nokia is making a real effort to move to low cost countries - even at the cost of breaking systems and reinventing the wheel. Trump should look at this because it certainly is not making America great again, Only weak - and you get what you pay for.
I'm not sure that working from home = lazy people. There are folks like me who need to work from home due to late evening meetings with China folks. I work like a dog for ALU. I don't even get enough sleep since I have to deal with folks from China/Germany/France/USA and tight deadlines.
The company is getting three full-time people's work out of me but paying only one full-time persons salary.
Yes, I do agree there are lazy people, but that is managements fault and ALUs USA policy to save money on facility to reduce cost. Managers can easily tell there group to come to work everyday. I don't think many people would complain. But would that make a difference in revenue. Look at Yahoo, they told their people to come in everyday, yet still Yahoo is going down the drain.
Easiest layoff will be asking NAR ALU employees to be in the office daily. Yahoo! and HP have tried and this method of elimination works.
ALU workforce not used to following orders and spoilt by many decades of permanently work from home arrangement, i guarantee 80% will fail. These are the ones that must be rid of.
Alcatel-Lucent in US is populated with 95% of it's workforce that permanently work from home with very little work - and run businesses or second job along side.
Each ALU employee is warming a seat to repeat a task on a weekly or fortnight basis. ALU does not like to pressurize or demand too much from their employees. Like a PM might have a job of only running a weekly report. A technical manager who after 10 years of managing his same engineers still does not understand what systems or processes are in effect, he just holds a half hour meeting with them in the week and then goes back living his non stressful good life at home.
I am glad (I am a shareholder) Nokia will clean up Alcatel-Lucent in NAR (North America Region). That company has too many lazy, self-entitled, spoilt employees that have been around for decades with little or no work - and without pay raises or bonuses but refuse to leave for greener pastures - solely for the reason of being virtual employees with no supervision.
Alcatel-Lucent HR head is a illiterate stupid woman placed in the job for being chummy with ex-executive team of ALU. She is running a HR group that are untrustworthy, unethtical and do very little for the company or employees.
First cleanup should be HR. Please keep and use NOKIA staff in USA, get rid of ALU employees that are lazy, not knowledgeable, rotting in same jobs since decades. So many incapable women were promoted to senior management during 2008-2013 frame so that Ben ex ceo and his male peers could get satisfaction seeing more women in office. Each of these women now calls herself HEAD of this or HEAD of that - only head they know is head of a throbbing ..
Experienced employees are not too important, but they are too expensive.
I'm sure the HR folks know and upper management. They will get rid of the managers first. Experienced employees are too important.
