As part of diversity, Intel hired many older women into senior grades 7-11 who are at near RETIREMENT AGE in the 50+ age group. These women came to Intel with goal of retiring from Intel in the next few years.
Is Intel's retirement package so good ?

Helps to make their number by 2020 and then these people leave
I personally know at-least four such grannies who were recently hired at my location.
Intel is getting rid of older males through layoffs - while newly hiring women of 55+ age.
It's only good if you are 65 yrs of age or above. You will not be able to feel any comfort from this plan if you are laid off earlier than that.
