I get a job offer . The company pays ok but they are not as big /famous as GE.
I really like GE oil and gas . The work environment , the people and the training are great. I am worrying I can't come back until oil price hit $100.
I am not sure if GE will have another layoffs. If they layoff me, I will be very happy to accept the new offer. If I can survive , then why should I leave GE?
You know you should stay, and live everyday wondering why you didn't take your offer and never complain about your 1% raise for the next 5 years or a raise at all. You should stay and be full of regrets just like the 50% of the employees who want to leave but not seeing the Money that GE has to put in just to keep things afloat. You know why you should stay NOW, so bite at your fingernails and get drunk everyday till your leaders lead you to a miserable employee environment and insecurities and frustration. Now stop asking and just stay till your have a stroke!
Don't sell yourself short! I'm at the Broussard facility and some of us are transferring to various parts of GE. And some of us are using the power of the GE meatball and looking abroad. If you have a degree and can do what you say you can, rolling the dice may be for you. If you have the years of service, why leave. See it thru to the end.
This is your decision to make!
If you are smart...you will leave. If you think you are good at GE...you are stupid

There's a lot of Bull-sh-- in this post, if I leave or not crap. All of know this a GE Money Manager post and it's lined like one of those young stupid assA&M kids that the Company is used to giving a good paying job just because.
Used to work for a big famous company. Got another job offer. First I refused then decide to join. The famous company was Enron. Where I work now just open ipo
