In case anybody is interested, Although I work for Intel, the last 5 personal PC's or laptops I bought for home use or for my kids had AMD processors. About $100 to $150 LESS than Intel equivalent and as work well or better than my Intel issued laptop and desktops. Can't see a difference except in price. If I can figure this out, so can so about 500 million people who bought laptops, pc's etc.in the last 5 years. AMD Revenue of $3.99 billion. Intel revenue of $55.9 billion.

I work for Intel and I only buy Intel CPU's and mostly Intel SSD's. I will not betray my company that supported me and my family for decade+. No man worth his salt will either. If tomorrow Intel says it is time to part my knowledge and skill set will easily fit me somewhere.

AMD manufactures nothing!

Intel is much higher Revenue and Profit per employee than AMD.

But $/head metric in of itself isn't reflective of the people.

I got isp'ed but I would still never compare Intel to amd. Intel makes a far superior product and is a much bigger Company doing many more things than AMD. The comparison is pointless.

All true. But AMD doesnt need to be profitable to be in business while intel needs not only huge profits but also more huge profits (growth).
