Employees are afraid to do internal transfers, afraid to go on fmla or the bonding leave, afraid to go on sabbatical, team members would rather compete than help each other grow, and are in constant fear of when layoff criteria would change. There has to a better way to cut down workforce!

This is going to have the exact opposite effect. Does BK not realize good managers now will have no other choice but to give promotions and stock options ppl that need it in order for them stay , so if you deserve a promotion but your past focal is enough to keep you safe , you'll get the minimum just say safe, now managers are going to be inclined to help out employees they feel deserve to stay and in doing so they will be granted ssl3 or promotion in order to save their teams asses.
And this is exactly their plan. Very effective method to get employees to work harder, more hours, not take sabbatical or. Vacation or family leave.

Agree that downsizing work force is a normal thing to do in business, especially large company like Intel. However, how to cut it while still minimize the impact and chaos for company and employees, the factories still run fine with backup plan..., a smart CEO needs to consider. Thru this event, I can conclude
That BK is not qualified for the position of Intel CEO. He is not only destroying Intel name which had been well established for years, but also killing its most advantage, manufacturing capabilities, by the way he showed people the door without an immediate backup plan.
This tells me how clumsy you are at high level management, no thorough plan, jump too quick into action to bandage a problem. It is your fault. You are killing Intel, my favorite company. If you are a self respect CEO, please think twice and resign.

Agree, either you play the game or get out now. I will play the game for sometime as I don't mind getting a pay check for doing nothing. At the end of the day you will be layoff so why work!

This is very true .. Not only this manager started threatening by saying you need to put more, you are not doing good etc,
Manager becoming like super boss. Many left over people are thinking to leave Intel . People are hiding information . Not telling or sharing indormation .
Good job Murthy. Feeling like it was biggest mistake of my life i did by joining Intel.
Some people don't have guts to take decision . Bring chopper and chop people.
They (BK and Murthy) made their beds. Now they have to sleep in them. The new culture is one of constant fear and backstabbing. People will want to leave and Intel be left with the gutter talent. They'll get what they deserve.
