Both have a future but in decline state during The last few years.

1) Try to get an offer from Apple, Google or Nvidia.

2) If you don't get such an offer select Q or I. Not a bad palace to start a Career.

At Intel, you live year to year. You are only as good as your last focal. If that's how you want to live, in a state of constant paranoia, then hire on.

Go back to college and take AI classes. Change your field from hardware to software. There is no future for hardware engineers after 2020 (after 5 nm process).

Wanna spend lots of time attending countless meetings?

Wanna loose time in filling out forms instead of performing creative activities?

Wanna risk to join a firmware team that keeps developing its product in the middle of a power-on?

Wanna have a manager that intimidates you when you decide to switch to different team?

.

.

.

If your answer is YES, joing Intel.

Qualcomm no question!!

Both did layoffs but Qualcomm is a design house with lots of IP

Intel has x86 which has become irrelevant with ARM and this dead thing called Moores Law

Any questions, LOL

I'd pick Intel. Qualcomm Indian invasion is much worse and they really work you to death.

One Indian dude jumped off one of their buildings and one 1 white guy told me he's aged 10 yrs from working at Q.

Just pick one. Be really nice to the other hiring manager. Make some excuse. Chances are you can call them up later if it doesn't work out.

Intel has treated me okay over the years. You have to consider location pay and benefits. Intel does not seem to be a career company anymore

Apply at Intel, they accept people with really low GPA now. It's all thanks to the new GPA inclusion policy.

Go with Qualcomm !!! or any other non-Intel company.

Friends who came to Intel from Qualcomm consider Qualcomm to be a better company with better work environment and nicer people.

Don't fall prey to the lies Intel tells you or the extra money they pay you to buy you into Intel. This place is horrible for experienced senior hires and will surely set you back in your career if you begin your first job here.
