In my 27 years, I've seen it all. Police cars stationed outside during a layoff, mass meeting to let a whole site know they were let go, a party after a layoff to "Thank" them (WTF?), and security escorting people through the building to get their stuff. I doubt much woul surprise me now

The interns will probably dig it, waiting with their phones to film security throwing an "old guy" out with their box of junk.

There are a bunch of interns in my office bay. One of them is prancing around as if he owns the place. A prince among men is what he is, verily.
I just got an email today from an intern. Really? We're spending money on interns when we are letting go of experienced employees? Grrrr.
Layoff again in September? How does people think company? So bad. Why does company give this kind of stress frequently? It is not good. Shorter is better to bad situation around workplaces.
Finding it hard to write pithy comments on this web site, much to busy pouring my heart and soul into my IMAP goals. Doesn't the stick need to have a carrot tied to the end of it in order to get the donkey to move forward? It seems like I'm the Donkey and the my owner is upset that about my lack of movement. My owner is so Mad! But no carrot so I cannot move, I am a confused and sad Donkey.
Gonna have a hard time finding people to sign up this yr. No one left.

No way they make their dividends based on company performance. Seagate will have to mothball more equipment, cancel more service contracts and layoff more people.
Wonder what they'll do when their is nothing left to scalp.
Keep an eye on your local pawn shops. Might find some good deals on FAB and LAB equipment.
Perfect timing as usual, company is starting a new employee engagement program. Bowels , bowler some sh--. Sending out surveys. Hope they have a comment section so everyone can tell them to get f---ed.
what is the package in the US? I heard 1 paycheck for every year, but someone told me this time around it was going to be 1/2 paycheck for every year.
Going to be real disappointed if I have to stay. Been here a few years and never seen morale so low. The package will be sh-- but it's better than nothing.
Like a child waiting for Christmas....can't wait! Though I will surely miss all the special awards I've received over the years. I think tops were the candy bar for reaching one billion transducers and the nifty key chain, it received a special place in my junk drawer. And the reward lunches, one never knew what was safe to eat...mystery meat or soggy veggie sandwich. Fond memories indeed.
