Lack of direction for credit/collections

i just wish they would lay me off so I wouldn't have to work for a place that is lacking direction this bad. The easy answer is quit and find another job. That is not as easy as it sounds I have been trying. Why put added pressure on us when they have manager two to one over analyst? Seems like it's way to top heavy, doubt they could do our work load as they have gotten fat and lazy. So I hope the rumors are true and more fat will be cut freeing up budgetary funds to get us the help we need.

I'm not in that department but it seems like it functions just like the rest of NOV. Sex, favoritism undue promotion and over worked employees. That's the NOV way.

Thank you all for proving my point. One post shows just how unhappy, discontent, uneducated, homophobic, racist and the passive aggressive attitudes of the people in the department. Mix in the lack of reading comprehension and knowledge of simple English vocabulary words. Then add the stress of the lack of support and effort by management. The outcome is a highly combustible mixture of discontent. No wonder the good managers are "let go" and that rejects are promoted. While we are stuck to coexist with a balding skirt chaser, a machinist, a bartender and hood rats as well as fighting nepotism and the "special favors" granted to some. Thank you all again for proving my point.

Seems to be a pretty accurate discription as I see it. I could be wrong but im not. The sorest part is the intelligence drops when the job discription drops. These people should be glad the know people or easily get on their knees I heard one of the male managers regularly polished a knob. I guess it true it's not what you know but who you ....!! How can so many people know so many different stories about the same people, I guess what happens in Aberdeen doesn't stay in Aberdeen

Your discription was incredibly accurate. I would love to hear your discription on the other two, not that are any better. One hires the most intellectually challenged people and when he discovers that one is more intelligent than him he gets rid of them or ships them to work elsewhere. He's the next spokesman for the hair club for men. The third is so incompetent that he gets demoted into the position because he could no longer or if ever handle his responsibilities. That is just peeling back the first layer, shall we dive deeper

Well when you promote an incompetent blonde bi#$@! Initials D.R. to "Director of Credit" with no credit experience what do you expect???? She came from Rig Technologies with another "Director" title "Product Costing or something"....but no one had any idea what she really did in that role. We suspect she was just a seat warmer for her office. Who knows who she is sleeping with to still be kept around with all the layoffs,,, but she is just plain useless..he prices seat warmer.

One reason you may be so overloaded is because many Finance functions have been centralized to Corporate in Texas. Finance staff needs to be significantly reduced at the locations, so you can increase non-management staff at Corporate. Ohio is a good example of underutilized staff.
