It's a time for celebration. The bipolar, schizophrenic nutcase that has been tearing Gateshead apart is no more. Since October the demise of the business has been fast paced; so credit to the hatchet man as he didn't waste time with his wrecking ball. I remember the rousing speech; shouting from the roof tops the impending change and how we would be transformed into a world class company who would manufactured parts more efficiently than the automotive 'gurus'. Talk of the restructure being the catalyst for change, the new supervision being the people to lead the company forward; but only if they knew how to use power point of course. Now it's June; order book can be printed on one page of A3, there's no one left to do rear backing off and we still can't make a 3" swivel like a car .... And just like that .... He's gone.
