Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Did BK mention or was it brought up if they met their 12k number?

I was disappointed that BK be more upfront with the numbers. They know what they are. There was a webcast held by a TMG VP last week to his org where he provide A.C.T. results (it is archived on the webcast portal):

ISP: 2500

ERP: 6000 eligible - 3000 accept

VSP: 4000 offered - 2000 accept

So that brings the total as of last week to 7500 of 12,000. 4500 short.

LOL, whether the number was 1999 or 11999 WTF does the number have to do with respect and dignity. Everyone knows I was one of those cut, and others weren't... what a crock BS from a tard CEO

This is consistent with his great concern for Respect and Dignity for these layoffs.

BK made it sound like final numbers won't be known for sure until June 24th.

@1mgv - I wouldn't be too sure. Haven't heard any leaks from the Oregonian in quite a while. He might just be laying low, but it's also possible he might have been ISP'd for one reason or another.

When the next round happens we will be warned by the Oregonian.

You have to understand corporate weasel jargon to interpret what was said. VSP, ISP, ERP are terms used to describe the recent actions and cuts performed through the glorious ACT. He did not rule out other forms of cuts that are yet unannounced and will be known only when you or your friends are fired. The mantra here is to not say any thing openly or predictably.

He specifically said he would NOT address specific numbers, but the rest that others have replied is accurate.

@1xqy-OP here ; thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I have a feeling there will be closures like F11X which is on the radar for years.

I was listening fairly intently. To me that bullet was successfully dodged. He said it is 'on track'. He said there would no "company wide ISP". This of course makes one wonder if there is a site or group level ISP yet coming. Lastly he said there would be further efficiency cuts that would conclude in July.

Would love to know what others took away.
