Yes, VMware is renting out buildings in Palo Alto to Tesla. Not only that, even part of the parking spaces is rented out to Tesla.
VMware is hurting for money. The management team led by Sanjay Poonen will be the demise of the company. (Sanjay is trying to replace Pat as the new CEO)
Not everything is good now, if everything is good, the share price would have been good and stable.
There are some organizational changes expected during June/July 2016, which i believe will be major.
