Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Stop keeping your workers in the shop in the Dark!

I think Schlumberger needs to man up! Stop Game Playing and inform your employees of what's going on..That called giving respect!

i think all those fired need a bit of time to digest the fact that is happened. wipe the taers and move on. there is a life after SLB guy. There is no life in SLB, admit it. I got a personal promise from my Segment VP that my career is planned for 4 steps ahead... I was one of hi pots... got laid off in a first wave))

have a nice job and nobody cant stop me to use all I learned thede in my new job where I am a managing director of small but profitable company. good luck guys.

Appreciate your frustration.... but it ain't gonna happen. If SLB was actually honest and upfront, people would leave in droves. NO company is 100% honest with its employees.... so don't expect it. If the stress of getting up every day and knowing that you may no longer have that job by the end of the day is ruining your life.... be master (or mistress) of your own destiny. Find another job and leave on YOUR terms, not Big Blue's. We are all replaceable, SLB managed to do fine before you worked here.... it'll be fine after you leave. You need to adopt the same mindset for yourself. You had a life before SLB, you'll have one after. Good luck!

Don't forget promoting females to leadership positions regardless of competency. That's a KPO target.

Sadly you cannot trust anyone at SLB. They will tell you your job is safe then let you go two weeks later. So much for Blueprint. It's all a lie. No ethics.

Clearly you are not a Schlumberger person.

Schlumberger principles :

  • No respect for individual

  • unethical treatment

  • favoritism

  • kickback from suppliers and contractors

If the lights are out, then the message is already been sent. Suck it up and start packing your bags cause the HR posse is coming.

They don't need to tell anybody anything. You knew how it goes when you took the job. So don't act all surprised and feel betrayed.

Respect? You don't deserve respect. You are just a gin number, a pawn. We will tell you what you need to know when we think you need to know it. Keeping you in the dark is just one of the tools we use to control you. Respect? HA!

SLB is not in the dark. Just in the closet. With the doors closed. And it is a bit dark.
