Hi from the land of Western Digital, we got our layoffs coming as well. All though not as extreme as yours. Probably because we lead and you follow. You company sounds like it's in a death spiral.

At least their CEO paying out dividend according to their earnings. Seagate CEO is paying more devidend even when we are at lost.
I agree. WD is better than Seagate in every way. Younger, hipper, and their CEO has direction fir the company. And their products have better quality.
WD definitely made better moves than us. They bought Sandisk and we bought Dot Hill. How embarrassing. Now we are getting laid off for that deal.
I hear that WD also has learned to frown upon doctored-up Powerpoint files that cost $630 million or so. They "lead" and we "follow", indeed.
It is frowned upon.

Exactly correct, both companies are scaling down, doesn't matter which one is first. I'm out though, never again with a hardware company.
