There was a time when NOV, believe it or not, prided itself on ethics and doing the right thing. The people hired were qualified and, while they walked the line, they also knew their opinions would be heard. Many good people have left NOV, or rather been forced to leave, because they were not in the back pocket of the right people, i.e. Matta, Reid, the mafia groups, etc. We have lost a lot of good talent......people who would have brought this company forward with new ideas and new technologies. We have new technologies but the people working on those are not the people who will take it forward to the reality stage and they are not the ones to market it to the right groups. We lost a lot of talent thanks to bad decision making. I think it is pretty sad when doing a good job and caring about your job means you have no job!!!! It would have been better to shut the phone off at 5 and take a three hour lunch. No reason to work so hard as it was never appreciated and never will be. NOV is falling apart and it is caused by the poor managers at the top....their incompetence shines through and will continue to shine through in times of limited work!!! They may look good on a CV but the reality is another story!!
Why not fill the job????? It's been 5 weeks!!!!!!
