ISPs: HSA contributions & SPP deductions ?

  1. HSA contributions (upto the limit we elected during open enrollment) will be deducted from the severance pay ?

  2. SPP contributions that were already deducted (for the next purchase period) - Will those be refunded along with the severance pay?

I am in AZ and did not get my SPP money back. Hopefully it comes with the big check.

Would you be able to take FICA off the taxes if you write a check to your HSA?

If you want to contribute more to your HSA, you can just write a check. Then you deduct that amount when preparing your tax return for the year.

I received my SPP contributions, after Feb 19 stock purchase, on May 31. I am in AZ. They might have different schedule for other states. Any question, call HR at (800) 238-0486. They have been very helpful couple of times I called.

The SPP may come after the Aug purchase date. Some have gotten it earlier.

Hsa contributions end when the employment ends so should not be deducted from severance. You should get spp contributions back.
