I think the post meant to say that any feedback to the Ethnics hotline or HR is punitive . The setup of Ethnis hotline is a framework to protect the company against legal suits . Any threat will be eradicated immediately. If any staff whistle blow, they will find their names in the list after the protection period is over . Using RIF is a common method to get rid whistle blowers post protection window .
