All former intel employees, my message is "think positive". If you lost your job I am pretty sure you will find a new job that will make you feel valuable.
Sometimes we think "why me ?". Believe, God always prepare what is the best for us. I wish you former employees all the best and good lucky.
The most important is to enjoy what you do, stay close to your family and pass positivity to your family.

I got VSP and took it because I found a new one very fast with Amazon. They gave me a great compensation package with over 100 stocks as a hiring gift and I am very happy now! There is a life after Intel. If you compare today's stock for Intel ($31) vrs Amazon ($726) you will notice how much money you can get if you choose a new company. Good luck everyone!

They were stupid in the layoff. I could accept if I got cut because my division had too many people, but that wasnt the case, they kicked me to the curb give me lots of money just to make a stupid number all the wrong way.
I thought intel was doing it all wrong when I worked there, still do now, and boy will LOL as they go down.

As a "successful" and recently-award-winning employee who received ISP, I agree.
Unfortunately Intel leadership spoiled it with the way that the layoff was conducted and the nickle-and-diming that has occurred since: sorry, won't pay your vacation days. Sorry, we won't vest your stock a month early. Sorry, you can't pack up your stuff, we need you to go now. Sorry, you've been laid off because you're a low performer. And this is on top of being treated absolutely horribly in the short time I worked at Intel. I simply can't separate the content and the delivery of this experience.
I'm well on my way toward a fulfilling new job and am happy - physically and mentally relieved - to be out of that hell hole.
That said, I do not look back fondly on my days at Intel or the way that I was laid off. Since being laid off, I have purchased two PCs and neither has an Intel chip in it :)
I think God had me tortured at Intel for a reason. It makes me appreciate not being there amongst the lairs, back stabbers, and crazies! Money has a price.

I looked at the ERP as an opportunity. I think Intel exacerbated my mental illnesses, so I'm looking forward being less crazy. Plus I won't be satisfied until I get a new job with more money and responsibility.
I hope Intel is wildly successful in the future.* Just like the guy who worked at the Coke plant and won't buy Pepsi, there is no way I'm buying AMD. I need Intel to keep building good microprocessors.

Intel as a company is going through transformation much like you the current, ex-employees or would-be ex-employees go thru changes in your personal life.
Life goes on and it's up to you to navigate your life's destinations. Best of luck everyone. Hope God will show you the path to your next adventure.
Everything happens for a reason and we'll look back several years from now wishing that this should of happened sooner.
