Is this among management in different teams where they decide who gets to go and who gets to stay? When I read through the ACT site, I see that the remaining steps to reach headcount targets would be left to each group. Perhaps the axe comes down next based on what is discussed. A lot of us are worried.

I'm hearing rumor of something similar. Anybody else have any additional info that you can share?
I have heard that the fate of the European sites that were not already annocuced will be revealed on Monday, at least for ICDG
OP- Why are you mentioning the site. It looks like you are afraid they can narrow you down.
OP here. I am NOT BS'ing. I kept it deliberately vague. Yes it is a "Mandatory" all hands in one of the Core sites. The fact it come out on a Sat makes me wonder ... this might be Phase 2.
PEG has had all of their requisitions frozen for over a month now. Hopefully they're moving things around and getting ready to strategically open requisitions.
@jqx, when did he mention rooms? A "group" can be on paper or in a database.
@dds you obviously don't work at Intel. People don't actually show up in a physical room! Nobody will be herded like cattle. Idiot.
if you didn't get an all hands invite, you probably are safe.. if you did get an invite, they'll probably put you in two groups, and one group is safe, the other will be met by HR reps and given a "talk".
Quality is dead in all groups. Cost is the only metric for these VPs now.
Intel is playing a horror movie.
@thw - It's pretty clear those groups are going to get axed on Monday then. Get your resume updated if you haven't done so.
It could be a meeting to blow diversity sunshine up your ass
PEG CDG & some groups in DCG
Wow. Wonder which groups in PEG got it.
I'm in PEG FM and didn't receive it. What's an all hands on meeting anyway?
Phase 2 ongoing. How far away from 12K?
Guys, it's site specific. They're not getting rid of all of PEG.
The numbers came in late Thursday, they realized they didn't hit the mark Friday, so they took action Saturday. It makes sense. All hands meetings are the bad ones, open forums and normally scheduled ones are usually fine.
My advice is to run away from PEG. They're slow, miserable to work in, and LOVE to axe groups. Not to mention, they've started massively trading quality for speed and cost. It's going to bite them and the company in a big way. I realize the pendulum swings back and forth on quality as escapes happen, but they really drank the kool aid in PEG this time. And you don't want to be the one to be tagged with the next escape. All the "leaner and meaner, PEG transformation" BS you spew back to them won't mean the hot air it's made of. Make no mistake, the leaders are happy to sacrifice quality and talk like it's the new PEG culture of informed risk taking and shifting to use-cases. But at the bottom you better catch everything. Less time, less staff and less equipment (all risk taking at the top) are not tolerated as reasons, no matter how obviously they caused it.
I am in FM and got an invite... :(
The OP must be bullshitting. I work in PEG and I didn't get any all hands invite.
I'm in PEG and did not get anything, maybe it's site specific. OP, which site are you at?
I bet this is BS
I didnt get a meeting invite either in SC. What site are you at. Can others confirm this.
@gbf you suck..just mind your business..and don't worry about others doing what. People like you shud rott in hell...
Get rid of the idiots that were stupid enough to forgo their ERP or VSP. No matter what the circumstances, you will now pay for your mistake with a worse package as you are booted out with ISP
I am in PEG and did not get a all hands on deck meeting.
Intel did not make the 12k target and are moving on to phase 2!
Maybe it's good news. Actions are closed
Yup more consolidation and heads to roll. Hope many took their VSP/erp
