Aug Sep Oct 15 lay out in small number in diff factory not a lot of people even aware. Share is 30~50 n still make profit . Imagine last quarter result.in order to neutralize share n debt on time mgt.have save 40 cents.. tat is a liite too high for lay off alone let say 25cents..per disk.I think.Mr banker will take the bet. Cutting salary is choking throat.. he wont.show same hand.now he quote" priorities manufacturing foot print in serveral quarter" so i.clear my table. All in ready to go box. Got to know few colleagues in diff places. Excpt india most of the factory have list.

Forgot to add, Shugart also housed those from the Science Park building, in addition to the main pack from AMK
Shugart Center is not entirely a new addition. It was a replacement for the AMK facilities. This was to take advantage of Singapore government pro business package.

factories aside, i think calif engineering close in 98 is worst, followed by maxtor merger and okc engineering close. in the end of the day, STX is going to make many families grief this time around. What I don't get since july last yr, STX bought dot hill with twice market values at the time, opened Singapore Shugart center, opened Fremont media research center, and inability to do a large scale RIF last yr.
