For those of you who were VSP/ISP'd, and are not a software engineer, circuit designer, computer engineer, electrical engineer, how is the job market? Looking more at process engineer, chemical, mechanical, materials, etc. in AZ/OR. I wasn't impacted by VSP/ISP but not sure how long I'll want to stay at Intel.

Congratulations to all of you. It's great to see that there is hope and people are moving on. I'm still at Intel, but I've started preparing for interviews and will leave soon.
I thought micron was in a hiring freeze.
In Oregon, Intel does seem to be among the top paying employees, CA is completely different.
Interviewed at Google had 4th interview in 2 weeks. They have been very quick. Just had salary discussion, asked for 30% more, they said it was in range. I had no or very low raises at Intel. It's a DC planning sr. Slot.
They have taken me to lunch every time except initial HR MEET. I am of Indian hertiage but born in Boston, went to Grad school in California. The Indian cafe their is quiet nice, also the Thai food was amazing. I am actually inspired that there are Tons of women on campus and is a real meritocrcy.
Also have talked to some start ups, one which the pay is terrible but neat challenging work, good pre ipo options. I know Google is safer and better pay. But I am feeling the start up is better long term I suspect it's 3-5 years before a exit.
Ps it's been 3 months since I started search, it takes a while plus my interview skills were terrible, took 2 bad interviews to get better...practice is important, asking good targeted questions shows more than a cubby hole view of life. Be confident, and use every interview to get better. Make notes before and after. It's hard work but huge opputunity. Good luck to all. Don't get discourged, add everyone you interview to Linked in. As other people Linkin you can see your competetion.

Market is very good for indians as if u r white. it is nt that easy to be hired by indian managers as they r not honest.. so if u have been called for an interview and the interviewers are indian so be sure that u r part of an indian game to abuse the system. finally the position has already reserved for indian...
Intel's not even in the top 20 of the highest paying tech companies reported out for 2016.
Intel is not the highest paying tech company out there.
Its funny that everyone talks about how well Intel pays and not to expect that in a new job, but every person reporting a new job here has ALWAYS said they got a new job with much higher pay.
Open up LinkedIn and create/update your profile. There's a lot of non-SW/HW jobs poted.

Pretty good.. One ISP and two of us took VSP and were hired by a fortune 500 company. We three have got better pays and start July 1st.
