Took me awhile to figure.. but who do you think benefits if people here are humiliated and demoralized, and decide to leave Intel?

The narrative that BK and Murthy are trying to tell Wall Street is that Intel is improving profitability and restructuring for growth by cutting low performers and employees who are over-compensated for the roles. That there is an exciting next phase for Intel right around the corner.
Employees (and from the stock price, Wall Street) know that this is bunk, but that's the story that they'd like to tell.
