Look carefully in those departments/business groups where the majority are Indians. Hardly any got ISP/ERP, only others or Americans (regardless). Doesn't this speak volumes?. HR and management seem not to have a clue of what is happening, or they simply don't care.

If and only if the management was sharp, "those groups could have put themselves in a bind". They ought to be able to deliver going forward else they are not performers, but better skimmers.

Let's for the sake of the argument say that there was Indian/Chinese nepotism. So who's to blame? How about putting the spot light on the 1% who run the show? Why do we complain about the crap we are thrown into, after we elected the same 1% that flushed us down after wiping themselves? How do we get different results after doing the same thing; thinking the same way.

wait until the H1b issue start hitting the political arena for these upcoming elections. It will become top topic.......

this is not about race, agreed, but, there is an issue with the majority of the H1B's coming into the US and displacing the american workers .

Since ACT started, Intel has hired over 236 Indian H1B's in Folsom alone. This is a problem and it has nothing to do on American not having the right skill or college degree to fill those jobs.

Most of Intel- Indians becoming "US Citizens" don't care about the Americans already at Intel and they are basically playing the nepotist game pushing American employees out and bringing more Indians in . As long as these Indians becoming "US Citizen" don't start acting as true Americans and start caring and looking after people outside their race, for me there are nothing more that Locust and parasites and basically I dont want them in MY country..

I am done with the politically correctness stuff so basically if any of you guys coming here to the US to work , make a living, get a better quality of life, and becoming US Citizen then you better also start loving and looking after the American already here and once you start doing this you will see how this crap about Indians and other races coming in will stop but until that happens, you guys are on the spotlight. peace.

Why does everything have to do be about race? I am Chinese and I took VSP. I just choose not to blast to the rest of the world and go quietly as I please. URM do get VSP offers.

OP: So an American of Chinese or Indian decent is not American in your eyes? Chinese have been here since 1850s, longer than many who immigrated from Europe.

Seriously. Why does layoffs always turn into race? Company doesn't do well. I am sorry to see many white ,Asians , and Indians get laidoff. It happens. Get over it.

OP must be either blind or highly biased on one type of race. I know a bunch of Indians who were let go with ISPs, they are struggling with H1Bs as May 30 was official last day + some grace period ~15/20 days.. It's a SSL number game and anyone can get affected. Visa status are not taken into consideration, neither does Intel care about how you will deal with your family and kids post-layoff.

H1bs might not have taken the package as they have very tight visa restrictions. There is hardly a month of grace period before they have to find another employer who sponsors a h1b visa. I took it though as I grew tired of being chained to my employer and waiting indefinitely to get a greencard. If I don't find a job here, I will find a job in India.
