Called the VSP hotline and spoke to an HR rep who told me to file asap regardless. I found that interesting...
I took VSP in 2012 in Oregon and started collecting unemployment a few weeks after my termination date. No problem then.
Save the threatening letter for evidence.
Apply for UI, Intel will not likely contest but if they do you have proof.
