The financial sector is projecting a recession in 2018, so I wouldn't hold my breath..
Many analysts forecast land business will start to pickup early to mid 2017. Offshore is another story that recovery is probably 2 years away from any kind of meaningful impact. But when does that translate into orders and work for NOV???? Add another 6 to 9 month lag ontop of that. Things will be be very slow for quite sometime still ...Regardless if oil can get back to $60 - $65 / brl and stay there for stability *(which is unlikely: more oil is about to come back online in Canada, Iran and Iraq). Prices are about to dip again.
