Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel HR is to blame for all of the friction and what sometimes looks like hate towards Indian managers. Influence Intel HR to fix the root.

If HR would do their job like in most other companies, instead of being political and spineless, there would be no reasons or situations like what many refer here as Indian nepotism. HR has to enforce all classic rules like strict hiring practices, Intel values and code of conduct along with training and implementing mechanisms to deal with any conflicts. Instead of focusing on stupid URM hiring by force, they should focus on getting and retaining best quality of the people and optionally working on diversity as part of it.

agree 100% with OP , but, the Indians practice nepotism as part of their culture and they have no issues with that nor they will change that behavior .

They may see it as a common thing to survive but it does get augmented when in situation like the one (Intel is going thru.

How about asking, why BK and board do not fix this problem with quick action as this must be visible to them equally as it is to most of Intel employees?

Logical possibilities are:

  1. BK and the board know what we do not know and this is done consciously. Typical reason would be that they are just buying time and milking what is left.

  2. Too many layers of management create detachment, so the ones on the top have no idea what is happening in the middle and the bottom.

  3. Delusional beliefs and acting upon beliefs like stupid hiring URM's by force

Anyone can open anonymous email through tor browser and send email to HR mail list.

I suggest to do this if you have case mentioning real names and as intro point to all cases of Indian nepotism mentioned here (although names on this forum are forbidden).

Very true.

Intel HR is almost all white and has culture of being racist towards non-whites at Intel.

If you ever go to Intel HR with the same problem, a white person will get better resolution than a non-white (Indian, Chinese, Filipino, etc).

First ones to get kicked out of the company should be the waste, Intel HR. My assigned HR works from home and it was too much trouble for her to come into the office to meet me for a discussion during my time of ODI. I will never forget the lazy b!tch she was.

It really doesn't matter. Intel will go down in flames and be full of H1Bs. It will be a textbook case for years to come.

Companies will actually dump their H1Bs because their stock will get hammered.
