Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

On Memorial Day: How many Veterans were impacted by Intel Layoffs? I wonder in Intel HR is even tracking this.

I am one. Army 12B in Desert Storm.

35E taking VSP. To much rotten crap on this company. Full of young spoiled and stupid people that does not value the sacrifices of others so they can have a "safe space". Full of an invading army from India taking over American jobs in a very arrogant way. Good luck to all my brothers and sisters, thank you for your service.

"I agree that Intel doesn't really value Veterans. They throw a few bucks at some nice recognition programs, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter."

Recognition programs and saying that Intel values vets is one thing, truly understanding the value that vets can bring to the table is another.

None of my managers was a vet and none of them really got that vets like me had led (and managed) dozens of people in, uh, stressful situations and figured out how to get the job done.

I'm a veteran. Being let go involuntarily, but not for performance reasons. Honestly it's what I wanted though. I wasn't offered VSP but I would have taken it if the involuntary wasn't given. Involuntary is preferable (can claim unemployment).

I agree that Intel doesn't really value Veterans. They throw a few bucks at some nice recognition programs, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter. Doesn't bother me... like I said I was ready to try something new.

To the trolls trying to offend veterans - you're funny. Veterans are tough, intelligent people. Their daily conversations with their next in command were 10X worse any insult you idiots can dream up. It's like you're trying to attack a tank with a bee-bee gun. Good luck with that.

Remember when Paul was emailing us and telling us how veterans make Intel stronger? BK obviously doesn't think so. I'm a senior technician, maxed out in my organization, and that makes me a VSP target. At least I have ERP option. No, I don't want to go, but I also don't want to wait until I get ISP'd if I don't take the ERP.

Remember the challenge coin given to us valuable veterans? I was proud to get that challenge coin, but I think I'm going to take it to the rifle range and put it out about two hundred yards and then put a hole in it.

OP, it's Memorial Day, not Veteran's Day. If you didn't die, stop beating your own chest and honor those that did.

To the hater trolls, F'CK OFF.

To the OP and other vets, THANK YOU!

You all deserve the very best.

I'm VSP-bound, did a short time in law enforcement prior to becoming a tech geek.

We go in as raw ore and come out of the fire as hardened steel. We shall overcome.

@jrc - must be nice to take for granted what has been earned through the blood and sacrifices of the military.. Sleep well tonight because someone serving in a combat zone won't be.

Veterans must be a truly protected class. Society should not only thank them, but honor them.
