Therefore, the right hand may "actually care about posting on this board, Intel's reputation, spying on employees, entrapment and setting people up, and yada, yada, yada" and the OP wouldn't know it.

HR does not have a "defend Intel's public reputation" program where they go out to Q&A forums like thelayoff and plant information that is beneficial to the company. The closest thing to a program like that is in SMG where the digital marketing group uses social media to market and respond to customers and do key word analysis to gage consumer sentiment.

I wonder if he Oregonian leaker got the ax during ISP because things have been eerily quiet over at the the Oregonian for the last few weeks.

"HR legal absolutely cares if you leak right thing". Of course they do but HR reacts to the leak by publicly communicating or changing their process. And of course HR would respond with corrective action of someone turned themselves in (or someone else turned them in) but the entire point here is that HR is not out actively surfing Reddit and thelayoff looking for traitors - they're just not. Think what you want but it's paranoia. You're actually giving HR too much credit. I don't even think the could successfully pull of a program like that even if they wanted to.

I completely agree with OP.

Very few teams have all their sh!t together, and it's no surprise that HR would be one of them. So yes, I believe that they don't care about what's posted here, and even if they did I doubt it would be enough to provoke action like trying to prove who posters are. "I outed a few dozen people on an Internet site who don't like BK and posted mean things" won't exactly look good on your Focal.

As for who blocked this site internally, that'd have to be IT. Possibly at Richard Taylor's request, but we really don't know who would have said to do so. For all we know, some FLM saw a few of their employees constantly on here and complained.

My guess is that it was IT, not HR, that had this site blocked. They probably did it after someone here posted the actual slide that outlined the ISP criteria. I'm the OP and yes, I'm a paper pusher that likely couldn't get into a product group. And I did, in fact go to HR from IT but so what? The point I was making is that HR really doesn't give a crap what you say or do outside if Intel. Maybe a few of key HR people at the very, very top give a crap but they don't have the time or resources to police all forums and social media and aren't passing down directives for the workers to do it.

HR is a great place to stuff people who could not make it in any other business group. I bet OP washed out of IT.

HR is a big drag on most companies. They are just glorified clerks pushing papers.

Some bureaucrat HR is quality control for HR. That one can compose report from this web site plus include pieces from glassdoor and linked in, then present it to HR boss for ideas on HR org topics for review or even to board of directors. Some major shareholders could learn a bit as well from all employee feedback.

Bureaucrats are virus in Intel as well as more big companies.
