Well maybe down the road a little. New England is the only real profitable area. I think there will be about 450 stores left total company in 5 years. Most of those will be in New England.

Bottom line is Staples has been a sh--ty company to work for the last 6 years. The execs have no respect for anyone in the field. They take bonuses while denying them top those that did their jobs correctly and earned them.
I would like to start taking a more positive view since they brought the Canadian in and exiled Otis to California rather than promote him. Maybe someone in Framingham actually sees what a monster he is. But as many have said, they can't let him go because of the race card.
I do not think any true change can happen until Ron is dethroned though, and even then, retail is pretty much done for.
All this hype and no one really be sure if they will have a job in a year or not. This co. Has been playing this nonsense for over 5 years. No future with this co. I it's always something.
That seems like a large number in their most profitable area. Doesn't make sense.

Please let us know how you are aware of this information. Stores like this need to have some proof. It is irresponsible to post things like this without facts to back it up
So where did this information come from? I know you can't reveal your sources, but it would be nice to get some more information, like schedule, how many people being impacted, etc.
It is a shame if that is going to happen, but the writing was on the wall.
Run while you can, get the jobs before the others do, if this is true, the job market will be swamped!
