What your bosses meant by 'innovations' is be innovative with your foils, use colors. Be innovative to explain why you missed the line item, don't always use the same excuses. And be innovative when writing your accomplishment for focal. Please, please for Intel's sake don't touch our machines

Now we know why 10nm is in trouble, our manufacturing teams have been 'innovating'

If you honestly believe that the manufacturing teams at Intel do not do any innovating, you are truly an idiot.

It's not a company's job to sideline a lazy employee that chose not to learn, that chose not to work hard, that got old and angry and bitter. Intel owes you nothing. Either work hard or your fired. You earn more than most other company's employees, and where much is given, much is expected. When you don't take the signs from your manager that kindly asks you to shape up or ship out, you deserve to get fired. Period.

Love these stupid, I'm young and you old people need to get fired post. These idiots not only are dumber than rocks compared to the experienced older workers, they acted like they could play XBOX all day in their mothers basement. Your day is coming OP, sooner than you think. And we all we be laughing all day long....LOL

What's to keep people being walked out from coming up with these great ideas and starting the next Intel?

Or conversely the folks who get walked out are the ones who would come up with creative ideas like the OP's that could actually motivate (and reward) teams of people to work together and do more with less.

Under the current regime such creativity (and practicality) is not only unwelcome but aggressively and condescendingly punished by those who hide their insecurity and ignorance behind a façade of arrogance and acronyms.

This layoff has extinguished any spark of such creativity for the foreseeable future from the current employee base or the ability to recruit people from outside who won't be sabotaged and undermined for the crime of having good but different ideas.

The truth is Intel treats you like a farm animal. No longer needed - then put them down the line that ends with a bolt into the head.
